Charities In Ghana
Wait - Ghana Period Poverty Initiative
This project has been paused since mid-2025, when our project leader Vivian fell ill. We are keeping this page live so you can see the incredible impact we were making. We hope for Vivian's swift recovery so we can continue changing lives in Ghana. In the meantime, any donation intended for the WAIT Ghana Period Poverty project will be redirected to our other active period poverty projects. Thank you for your continued support.

How we fund Ghana Period Poverty
The Ghana Period Poverty initiative is entirely funded by dedicated donations, with IRFF UK providing £175 per month to sustain this critical work. This funding allows us to continue supporting young women with the resources they need to manage their menstrual health effectively.
Vivian can have a 3-pad pack made for £5. This pack will last for 2 years or more.
So every £5 donations helps one girl to manage her periods for 2 years or more, cleanly, safely and effectively
